Find a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist near you
Search the National Association of Home Builders' official directory for CAPS-certified contractors and other credentialed home building professionals — filtered by the credential you need.
What the credentials mean
NAHB certifications are earned through coursework, field experience, and continuing education. Here's what the most common ones cover.
Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist. Trained in home modifications that let people live safely and independently as they age — wider doorways, zero-step entries, grab bars, walk-in showers.
Certified Graduate Remodeler. Demonstrates experience and business skill specific to remodeling projects, from planning through completion.
Certified Graduate Builder. Focused on new-construction expertise, project management, and building-science fundamentals.
Certified Green Professional. Covers energy-efficient, sustainable building and remodeling practices.
How this search works
This page is an independent tool that deep-links into NAHB's own public directory — it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by NAHB. Results, listings, and contractor data all come directly from nahb.org. Use NAHB's own filters on the results page to narrow further by state or city.
